Well, for those of you who don't know the story. 2 weeks ago today I went to the doctor for my first physical since I got out of the Marines in '92. Since I'm an ex-smoker, the doctor sent me to get a chest x-ray done.
Last week the doctor's office called me and told me they had gotten my x-rays back and there was something on them and they wanted me to go get a CT Scan done.
Well, after the initial panic wore off, I made an appointment to get my scan done on Monday.
Today was my follow-up appointment from the initial physical. The scan showed that only minor scar tissue. No evidence of tumor or any other undesirable object. Not that scarring is desirable, but it's much better than the alternative. The scarring could have come from the 12 years I smoked or the case of pneumonia that I had while I was stationed in Okinawa, Japan.
Needless to day, I'm a tad bit relieved, that's why I'm jumping in my photo today.

Scan done

Got my scan done today.. I was shocked. They wanted me there at 3:30 even though my appointment was at 4:05 to fill out the paperwork. I was done and out the door at 3:45. I was home before my actual appointment time. Hopefully the results will go as good as the actual scan did.

Scary News

Sometimes it only takes a few words to give you that cold feeling in the pit of your stomach.
Somethings, even though you know the chances are that it is really nothing at all, gives you a shiver that runs down your spine.
As I found out today, your Doctor's office telling you that they found something on your chest x-ray and want you to get a CT Scan is one of those times and things. I've talked to MD Imaging and they will call me as soon as the insurance company approves the test to schedule it. But right now, it seems to be really hard to keep my hands from shaking. My lunch I just ate don't seem to be sitting quetly at the moment.

A Good Weekend

So, I had a really good weekend. Friday, after work, I drove down to Vacaville (about 2 1/2 hours) to spend the weekend with my best friend Dennis and his family. Saturday, the guys (Dennis, his son Bryce and I) went to the Western Railway Museum and toured the Budweiser Brewery in Fairfield. Later that evening, another high school budy of ours, Richard, came up from Stockton and we had BBQ and played horseshoes. Sunday I visited with Dennis some more, fixed his printer and then came home. all in all, it was a very good weekend.
